Delivery, Returns & Refunds

Delivery & Collection Policy

YUVÉ GEMS offers worldwide delivery. Shipping charges are calculated separately based on the delivery location, package value, insurance requirements, and selected courier service. Available options, estimated delivery time, and charges will be discussed with the client before confirmation.

Orders are normally prepared and dispatched within 1–3 working days after payment confirmation. Additional time may be required for certification, custom cutting, jewellery setting, sourcing, or special preparation.

Sri Lanka delivery and collection

Personal delivery within Colombo may be arranged after confirming the date, time, location, and applicable delivery charge.

International delivery

International orders may be sent by Sri Lanka Post (EMS), FedEx, DHL, Malca-Amit, or Brinks. Estimated delivery is generally 5–10 working days after dispatch, subject to courier schedules, customs clearance, public holidays, and circumstances outside our control. Import duties, taxes, customs charges, and clearance fees are the customer’s responsibility.

Returns & Refund Policy

Due to the unique and natural nature of loose gemstones, YUVÉ GEMS does not accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refunds for any of the following reasons:

• Change of mind.
• Personal preference.
• Colour, tone, saturation, or appearance preference.
• Size, weight, shape, or cut preference.
• Natural inclusions, growth characteristics, or other naturally occurring features that are consistent with the gemstone description.
• Differences in appearance caused by lighting conditions, photography, camera settings, monitors, mobile devices, or screen calibration.
• Market price fluctuations or changes in gemstone value after purchase.
• A customer’s opinion or a third party’s opinion that differs from the description provided by YUVÉ GEMS, unless supported by a recognised independent gem-testing laboratory confirming a material misdescription.

Natural Gemstone Disclaimer

Every gemstone offered by YUVÉ GEMS is a naturally occurring product of the earth and is unique. No two gemstones are identical.

Natural inclusions, colour zoning, crystal growth features, silk, fingerprints, feathers, minor surface-reaching characteristics, and other naturally occurring internal or external features are normal attributes of natural gemstones and are not considered defects, unless expressly stated otherwise in the product description.

Variations in colour, brilliance, transparency, and appearance may occur under different lighting conditions and viewing angles.

Photography & Display Disclaimer

YUVÉ GEMS makes every reasonable effort to accurately represent each gemstone through photographs and videos.

However, colours and appearance may vary depending on lighting conditions, photography equipment, camera settings, screen resolution, monitor calibration, mobile devices, and individual perception.

Photographs and videos are provided as a guide only and do not constitute a guarantee that the gemstone will appear identical under every viewing condition.

Measurements & Specifications

Gemstone dimensions, weight, and measurements are taken using industry-standard equipment.

Minor variations or measurement tolerances that are accepted within the gemstone trade do not constitute a material misdescription.

Material Misdescription

A refund or replacement will only be considered if a recognised independent gem-testing laboratory confirms that the gemstone was materially misdescribed by YUVÉ GEMS.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

• A gemstone described as unheated being confirmed as heated.
• A gemstone being identified as a different gemstone variety or species than described.
• Another significant characteristic that materially differs from the written description provided by YUVÉ GEMS.

Return Requirements

To request a review, the customer must:

• Notify YUVÉ GEMS in writing within 7 calendar days of receiving the gemstone.
• Provide the original purchase invoice.
• Provide the original certificate (where applicable).
• Provide a report from a recognised independent gem-testing laboratory approved by YUVÉ GEMS or mutually agreed upon before testing.

The gemstone must be returned in its original, unused, and unaltered condition.

Returns will not be accepted if the gemstone has been:

• Cut or re-cut.
• Polished or re-polished.
• Mounted or set into jewellery.
• Drilled, engraved, or treated.
• Damaged, chipped, scratched, or otherwise altered.
• Transferred to another owner.
• Handled in any manner that materially affects its condition or value.

Inspection

All returned gemstones are subject to inspection by YUVÉ GEMS before any refund is approved.

The existence of a laboratory report does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund. YUVÉ GEMS reserves the right to verify the findings through an additional recognised independent laboratory where reasonably necessary.

Shipping

Approved returns must be shipped using a fully insured and trackable courier service.

The customer remains responsible for the gemstone until it has been safely received by YUVÉ GEMS.

Refunds

If YUVÉ GEMS confirms that the gemstone was materially misdescribed, a refund of the purchase price will be processed using the customer’s preferred method of payment.

Reasonable independent laboratory testing costs may also be reimbursed where:

• YUVÉ GEMS has agreed to the laboratory in advance; and
• the laboratory report confirms a material misdescription.

No other costs, including shipping, customs duties, taxes, insurance, bank charges, currency conversion charges, payment processing fees, appraisal fees, travel expenses, or indirect or consequential losses will be reimbursed unless required by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, including this Returns & Refund Policy, are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising in connection with a purchase from YUVÉ GEMS shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
